OUR PHILOSPHY IS SACRED FIRST. 

In a political landscape that increasingly teaches women - and especially women from systematically marginalized groups - to not take up space, to be ashamed, and to not have needs, wants, and feelings, Sunflower Spa is for women who are ready to challenge white supremacist, patriarchal, heteronormative, and religious limits on sexuality and pleasure.  

That’s where our Scared First philosophy comes in. We provide safe, inclusive, trauma-informed spaces for women to (re)learn their bodies, experience sensuality and pleasure, and give themselves the love they deserve so that they can move through the world more relaxed and happier.

We acknowledge that the health and safety of women is critical a civilized society.  We acknowledge that for the last two thousand years we have lost the narrative of the sacred and replaced it with the submissive narrative of a virgin mother and treasured wife.
